With van sales in Australia up 30 per cent for the year to date, Peugeot has launched a two-pronged attack on the buoyant LCV market, introducing its brand-new Partner and all-diesel Expert van ranges. The acclaimed Expert won the 2008 International Van of the Year award.
Forecasting combined sales of 720 vans next year, Peugeot expects its LCV offerings will enable it to further expand into the fleet market, predicting they will find favour with customers due to highly competitive ownership costs, extended 15,000km servicing intervals and user-friendly driving and loading characteristics.
Partner has a load capacity between 750kg and 1200kg and features 1.6-litre petrol (66kW) and 1.6-litre turbo-diesel (55-66kW) engines with up to 215Nm of torque. Maximum payload is between 750kg and 850kg and all models come with a five-speed manual transmission. Prices start from just $21,990.
The Expert vans are available in two overall lengths of 4185mm and 5135mm, with air suspension a feature of the LWB Professional model. Load space is up to between 5.0 and 6.0 cubic metres and payload has been increased to 1188kg. Two 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engines (88kW or 100kW) are offered and both are mated to six-speed manual ‘boxes. The SWB 88kW Expert kicks off the range at $36,990 with ESP a $450 option.
Peugeot will be selling and servicing the new models through all 44 dealerships, giving LCV operators nationwide another quality Euro option.
